About Me

I’m JJ—formally Jakobi Kendrick—an audio engineer focused on story-driven projects.

My work centers on helping stories survive the production process intact. I care about pacing, emotional clarity, and making sure a project still feels like itself by the time it’s finished.

While I don’t compose original music or create raw sound effects, I specialize in assembling and shaping audio elements—dialogue, music, ambience—into cohesive narrative experiences. I’m often involved beyond the technical side, helping guide creators and performers to protect the intent of the story.

I’m a Certified Production Assistant and earned state and national recognition through BPA (Business Professionals of America) for student broadcast and PSA projects. Those experiences reinforced how seriously I take collaboration, deadlines, and creative responsibility.

I currently work under my username, FunSizedJJ, with projects credited in association with FunSizedStudios, an evolving creative label for my long-term work.
